Dual-Booting Windows 10 and Linux Ubuntu 22 LTS

Step-by-step guide to setting up a dual-boot system with Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22 LTS, including disk partitioning and bootable USB creation.

Preparation

  1. Download the Ubuntu ISO image.
  2. Make a Ubuntu Bootable USB drive with Rufus, in MBR Partition Scheme. The data in the USB WILL BE LOST, PLEASE REMEMBER TO BACKUP.
  3. Partition the disk for Ubuntu.

Now let's go

  1. Plug in the Bootable USB.
  2. Boot into it (by Settings -> Advanced Restart or BIOS -> Boot Sequence).
  3. Install Ubuntu by following the wizard. BE CAREFUL WHEN SELECTING THE DISK TO INSTALL.
